I’m so grateful that people subscribe to the newsletter, and I like to respect their inbox by not cluttering it up. I’ll never abuse your email by unloading every small thought I have. I hope to find a new outfit once a month or so, maybe a few more sprinkled in.

The “steal this look” meme has been around much longer than this project.

I just thought it might be more interesting if this was done in complete earnest. I genuinely think these are good outfits (maybe not for everyone, but for some!), and you can wear them.

“This particular cartoon character would not wear these expensive designer clothes!”

Buddy, that particular cartoon character does not exist! They can wear whatever I want them to. I choose to focus primarily on more investment-level garments because I despise the wasteful excess of fast fashion. I’m not saying you can’t find worthy affordable options. All I’m saying is that the world would be better if we invested in clothing that would last and age beautifully. At the very least, we’d offer more gravity and consideration to the choices we make if we’re more financially driven to.
